Gyrid Erlingsdatter
14th century
Gyrid Erlingsdatter was the daughter of the drottsete Erling Vidkunsson and full sister of Ingebjørg, who received Giske. She is known through her daughter Margrete Eilivsdatter, who in 1422 declared before the Bishop of Bergen that Sigurd Jonsson was her only living heir. The declaration rested on Gyrid and Ingebjørg being sisters, and it strengthened Sigurd's position in the inheritance dispute over Giske.
