Magnus Magnusson
15th century
Magnus Magnusson was Sigrid Erlendsdatter's second husband and sat at Giske with her after Håkon Sigurdsson died. He called himself «med våpen av Giske» (bearing the arms of Giske) and wrote to the gardsfut, the estate bailiff at Giske, about money, herring and a wedding after Easter. The couple held fast to the claim that Giske had been left to Sigrid in the will. In July 1425 Sigurd Jonsson took over the farm, and the following year a new court hearing in Bergen ended without a settlement.
