Nikolas Petersson

d. 1265

Nikolas Petersson, died 1265, was the last man of the old Giske family. In the autumn of 1264 the old farm on Giske burned, and King Magnus Håkonsson, who lay with his ships in Steinvågen near Ålesund, saw the fire from the sea. The king's men saved the new farm Nikolas had had built. Some accounts give 1264 as the year of his death. His daughter Margrete became sole heir.
