Ivar Bjarnesson

d. c. 1223

Ivar Bjarnesson, died c. 1223, was lendmann (the king's landed vassal) at Bjarkøy in Troms and son of Ragna Erlingsdatter and the lawman Bjarne Mårdsson. The sources say little more about him. He belongs to the Bjarkøy generations between c. 1140 and 1250, which are disputed. Through his son Erling Ivarsson the line continued to Bjarne Erlingsson, who later united Bjarkøy and Giske in one hand.
