Pål Flida

c. 1200

Pål Flida, son of Nikolas Kuvung, probably sat at Giske around 1220. A «Pall i Gizka» stands first among twelve witnesses when King Håkon Håkonsson grants Archbishop Guttorm in Nidaros the right to mint coins (DN 3/1). The letter does not say who he was. It may be Pål Flida, and it may be another Pål in the family, for the generations in this period are disputed.

Son of Nikolas Kuvung at Giske. A Pål at Giske stands first among the witnesses when King Håkon Håkonsson, around 1220, grants the archbishop in Nidaros the right to mint coins (DN 3/1). No source says so directly, but it is probably him.
