Pål Skoftesson

12th century

Pål Skoftesson was probably the youngest of Skofte's sons and too young to join his father's voyage south in 1102. He took over Giske after his father and brothers died on the journey. His wife was called Sigrid or Ragnhild; the sources disagree, and Sigrid Torkjellsdatter of the Aurland family (Aurlandsætta) in Sogn is one of the names mentioned. A text from Nordmøre museum links him to the marble church on Giske, without support in the sources.

Son of Skofte Ågmundsson at Giske, probably the youngest and too young to join his father's voyage south in 1102. He took over Giske. His wife was called Sigrid or Ragnhild; the sources disagree.
