Fru Inger's combined receipt to the archbishop
DN 9/745 · 17 March 1534 · Österaat
Fru Inger of Austrått, who held Giske for a time, here gathers the receipts from her settlement with the archbishop in a single sealed parchment letter. The settlement covered goods lost from Austrått and the revenues of Stjørdal fief.
What the letter says
Fru Ingerd Ottesdatter of Austrått declares at Austrått on 17 March 1534 that Archbishop Olav has paid her 1000 lodd of silver and returned the copper, bronze, brass and tin his servants had taken from her. He has also delivered guns and fish and all the crown's revenues from Stjørdal fief, in Härjedalen, Selbu and Stjørdalen, which his bailiff had collected. She releases him from all further claims and hangs her seal below the letter.
The letter in modern English
I, Ingerd Ottesdatter of Austrått, widow of the honourable, well-born man and stern knight Sir Nils Henriksson, formerly steward of the realm of Norway, God have his soul, acknowledge and make known to all with this my open letter that the most reverend father in God Lord Olav, by God's grace Archbishop of Trondheim and legate of the papal see, has now paid me to my full satisfaction 1000 lodd of silver [one lodd is c. 15 grams], so that I lovingly thank his grace for good payment. I will provide his grace with further letters and proof of it in future, when my dear sons [sons-in-law] are present. Likewise the said most reverend father Archbishop Olav has had returned to me all the copper, bronze, brass and tin which his grace's servants had taken from me at my estate Austrått and elsewhere. Furthermore his grace has had delivered to me 3 stone-shot guns with 4 chambers, 3 double serpentines with 5 chambers, 11 hackbuts and one and a half hundred small våg [uncertain reading] of fish. His grace has also to my full satisfaction had delivered to me the crown's leidang, land rent, fines and all other income which his grace's bailiff had collected from Stjørdal fief, in Härjedalen, Selbu and Stjørdalen, so that I am well content, and his grace owes me nothing of all this.

Background
This parchment letter combines the receipts of June 1533 and January 1534 in a single document. Parchment and a hanging seal gave a letter more weight than the paper receipts, and this was probably what the archbishop asked for in the list of letters he wanted from fru Inger. The settlement between Archbishop Olav Engelbrektsson and fru Inger concerned both lost goods from Austrått and the revenues of the fief she held from the crown. On the same day they also made an exchange of land.
