Original text
Fru Giøruel Faddersdatter maa indtil videre aarlig faa 60 Læs Ved i Kronens Skove under Lundegaard. Sk. R. 1, 379.
Background
Lundegård was the king's castle and fief (len) in Lund, and its forests belonged to the crown. Wood was the main fuel, and 60 loads a year probably matched the winter needs of a noble household. The letter was written on the same day as the permission to add the Värpinge farms to her pledge, and shows that the king was already showing her favour in the autumn of 1581, half a year before she handed the Giske estate over to the crown.
