Original text
Koldinghuus 27 April 1587. R. 599. Afskr. III. 525. (Uddr.)
Background
After the reorganisation of 1586 Lindenov was left with a remnant of the Giske estate, and now the dues were removed altogether. Together with Johan Svave's life grant of 1586 the letter shows that the king used the Giske estate to reward noblemen in his service. For the Crown the estate thus yielded little income in these years. That is an inference from the letters.
